We’re Launching a New Podcast: Safari to the Top

A safari is a journey of exploration. Traditionally, it means traveling through the wild to discover new landscapes and animals. In a broader sense, it represents adventure, discovery, unpredictability, and learning and adapting through experience.

Zooming out, it becomes a powerful metaphor for the journey of life, business, and the pursuit of happiness and meaning.

To the Top represents mastery, fulfillment, and reaching your highest potential. For some, it can also mean money and status. Different people have different “tops” at different stages in life, and I believe all of them are valid. In a broader sense, To the Top represents becoming the best version of yourself and building something meaningful, even if that meaning is personal.

Put together, Safari to the Top means the journey of building an extraordinary life, with all the risks, discoveries, and lessons along the way. Success is not a straight ladder, but a wild expedition with challenges, allies, mistakes, and breakthroughs.

In this podcast, I want to explore people and the world on three levels:

Literal - We are building boutique safari hotels in Tanzania. We will dive into conversations about real estate development, safari as a business, hospitality, wine, food, logistics, design, architecture, and investing.

Entrepreneurial - Conversations with founders, investors, leaders, athletes, artists, and high achievers about their climb.

Philosophical - I set goals and believe they are necessary, but I have also come to realize that success is a journey, not a destination. We explore the question: How can we be in the world today while we become in the future?

We have set up a studio in our Tanzania HQ and have recorded our first four episodes. I’m sure it will be far from perfect, but we are starting where we are and I am very excited about it.

I would be happy to have conversations with people in our network. If you would like to participate or refer someone, feel free to drop a message at info@conservesafari.com, and we will take it from there.

The safari has just begun.
